Bhanu Kapil @ SALTS

Bhanu Kapil, author of Ban en Banlieue is a featured artist alongside Khairani Barokka at the Printed Room at SALTS, Basel as curated by Harry Burke. The Printed Room stages two simultaneous solo presentations, "Formiddable Sparkles" by Bhanu Kapil & "Selected Annahs" by Khairani Barokka. Conceptualized separately, the projects share a space, & present parallel interpretations of the same theme: the interwoven, the intimately political, relationship between poetry & performance. Nathanaël Wins Publishing Triangle Award for Trans & Gender Variant Literature

Congratulations to Nathanäel, winner of the first ever Publishing Triangle Award for Trans and Gender-Variant Literature. For the first time, The Publishing Triangle presented the Publishing Triangle Award for Trans and Gender-Variant Literature. Carol Rosenfeld, the chair of the group, said, "We are excited about this opportunity to honor important works by trans or gender-variant writers. We hope that our new award will help increase readership for and appreciation of this fast growing field."
