Order FAQ

Orders made on our website are meant for the purpose of individual buyers only. If ordering for a bookstore, library or institution, please order directly from our distributor Consortium. For more information about trade orders please visit our contact page.

General Shipping:

Please note: Due to delays in our warehouse, orders are taking a few more days to process. Please expect to receive your order 7-14 days after you have received a confirmation that your order is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

We work hard to get your books in the mail as quickly as possible. Sometimes, due to weekends or holidays, it can take a few days to process and ship orders. You will receive a confirmation when your order has been scheduled to ship from the warehouse.

Orders are fulfilled from our office in Brooklyn or our warehouse in Jackson, Tennessee, which assures us that they are following CDC and American Public Health Association protocols.

We offer free domestic shipping for orders over $50 via USPS Media Mail. You’ll also see the option to pay for the shipping. Consider choosing to support us by covering the media mail shipping costs on your order. Packages typically take 7-14 business days from the time of shipment from warehouse to arrival, depending on your distance from our warehouse in Jackson. Orders bound for Hawaii, Alaska, or any US territories will require additional transit time. We do not provide tracking for packages shipped Media Mail at this time.

We offer the option for Priority Mail if you need a book delivered in a timely manner.

International Shipping:

Orders are shipped internationally via International Mail. Packages can take between 7-30 business days to arrive, depending on their destination.

Timeless Books:

There is an additional processing time for orders that include books originally published by Timeless, Infinite Light as they are shipped from our office in Brooklyn.

EBooks:

All ebooks purchased directly from our website will be available for download in your order confirmation email.

All of our epubs are an epub3 file which can be read on all readers, including Kindle.

If you have any difficulty downloading feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we can help you troubleshoot.

If you order multiple forthcoming titles they will be packaged together with the last book to publish. You will receive one package containing all the books.

If you order both forthcoming and in-print titles, all titles available at the time of your order will be mailed together and all forthcoming titles will be mailed separately together once the last book has been published.

Your order hasn’t arrived after 30 days or arrived damaged:

We want you to be happy with your Nightboat books. If there is a problem with your shipment, email us at [email protected] with your name, order number, and a brief description of the issue, and we’ll respond to you promptly.

Returns:

Books in salable condition will be refunded to individual customers at full invoice price (less shipping) if returned within two months of the invoice date with invoice information. Please email [email protected] to organize a return.

Please note returns must be sent to our office in Brooklyn. Any book returned to Jackson will not be eligible for return.
