Order FAQ

Orders made on our website are meant for the purpose of individual buyers only. If ordering for a bookstore, library or institution, please order directly from our distributor Consortium. For more information about trade orders please visit our contact page.

General Shipping:

We work hard to get your books in the mail as quickly as possible. Sometimes, due to weekends or holidays, it can take a few days to process and ship orders. You will receive a confirmation when your order has been scheduled to ship from the warehouse.

Orders are fulfilled by our warehouse in Jackson, Tennessee, which assures us that they are following CDC and American Public Health Association protocols.

We offer free domestic shipping via USPS Media Mail. Packages typically take 7-14 business days from the time of shipment from warehouse to arrival, depending on your distance from our warehouse in Jackson. Orders bound for Hawaii, Alaska, or any US territories will require additional transit time. We do not provide tracking for packages shipped Media Mail at this time.

Please note that the USPS is experiencing significant delays on their package services due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. If you have a question about an order placed on our website, please write to us at info@nightboat.org.

We offer the option for Priority Mail if you need a book delivered in a timely manner.

International Shipping:

Orders are shipped internationally via International Mail. Packages can take between 7-30 business days to arrive, depending on their destination.

Timeless Books:

There is an additional processing time for orders that include books originally published by Timeless, Infinite Light as they are shipped from our office in Brooklyn.

Your order hasn’t arrived after 30 days or arrived damaged:

We want you to be happy with your Nightboat books. If there is a problem with your shipment, email us at info@nightboat.org with your name, order number, and a brief description of the issue, and we’ll respond to you promptly.


Books in salable condition will be refunded to individual customers at full invoice price if returned within two months of the invoice date with invoice information. Please email info@nightboat.org to organize a return.
