Announcing the Kazim Ali Fund
On the occasion of Nightboat’s twentieth anniversary, we are honored to establish the Kazim Ali Fund, in celebration of the work of writer, educator, activist, and Nightboat co-founder Kazim Ali, and our longstanding commitment to nurturing and uplifting new voices in literary publishing.
The Kazim Ali Fund will provide crucial structural support to Nightboat Books, ensuring another 20 years of publishing experimental, archival, speculative work and supporting the press’ key initiatives, including our Editorial Fellowship and the commitment to keeping each of our 200+ titles in print.
With leadership support from the Nightboat Books Board of Directors, the Kazim Ali Fund looks to raise $50,000 in 2025.
- Donors of $1,000 will receive a signed copy of Permanent Record and a twentieth anniversary tote bag
- Donors of $5,000 will receive a curated selection of 5 Nightboat titles, selected by Kazim
- Donors of $10,000 will receive all of the above, in addition to an optional manuscript consultation with Kazim
