Hiromi Ito is one of Japan’s most prominent feminist poets. She is the recipient of several prestigious Japanese literary prizes, and English translations of her work include Wild Grass on The Riverside and Killing Kanoko. Ito’s recent work, spanning topics of migration, gender, and the natural environment, has been deeply inspired by the landscape of Southern California, where she currently resides.
