Support Nightboat Books!

Dear Friends,

Nightboat Books has had a busy year, publishing books of poetry by Samiya Bashir, Jen Bervin, Rosamond S. King, Duriel E. Harris, Aditi Machado, Jared Stanley, Cole Swensen, and Alli Warren. We also published prose works by Andrew Durbin and Douglas A. Martin, translations of work by Wilson Bueno (tr. Erín Moure) and Alain Jugnon (tr. Nathanaël), and the landmark anthology Writers Who Love Too Much: New Narrative Writing 1977-1997, edited by Dodie Bellamy and Kevin Killian. We reissued new editions of a classic text by Bernadette Mayer and a collaborative work by Olga Broumas and T Begley.

We’re working hard to prepare our 2018 titles, with new books of poetry by Etel Adnan, Allison Cobb, Jasmine Gibson, Frédérique Guétat-Liviani (tr. Nathanaël), Wayne Koestenbaum, Ely Shipley, Stacy Szymaszek, Aldrin Valdez, Christina Vega-Westhoff, Asiya Wadud, and Hazel White. We’ll publish Nepantla: An Anthology Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color, edited by Christopher Soto, and new books of prose by George Albon, Hilda Hilst (tr. Alexandra Joy Forman), and Nathanaël.

We’re busy, running hard to publish a diverse array of poetry and prose and work that falls in between. We believe that the innovative and the experimental books can engage the political, the personal, and the most pressing issues of our day. We are committed to publishing beautifully produced books that resist convention and transcends boundaries, sparking new conversation and debates that are at the heart of our culture. We believe these dialogues are more important now than ever.

Publishing all these books takes a lot of labor and energy and financial resources. We need your help to continue doing our work and strengthening our organization’s core. Please help Nightboat Books by making a donation today! Donors will be acknowledged on our website and, if above $250, in the back of a future Nightboat publication.
